2004-05-01 - 6:55 a.m. Its back. I have my car back. Finally. It runs smooth and quiet. It does smell like hot oil and grease, but Im assuming that can be attributed to the new parts and the grease and oil they inevitably spilled on the engine while repairing it. The list of items replaced goes like this: THRMOSTAT GSKT PKG BOLT CYLI VALVE EXH VALVE INT SEAL VALV SEAL VALV HEAD CYLI SEALER SE FILTER AI COOLANT C FILTER EN OIL 5W30 Oh yeah, and RESURFACE VALVES. I guess they only have 9 characters to express part names. Maybe theyre dBase field names. Of all of that, the only thing they charged me for was the air filter, which was $16. So I guess I got off lucky. I notice on the bottom of the service sheet that it says, Next recommended service: Oil and Filter at 27495 Mi. You can bet I wont be going back there for it. It feels good to finally have this behind me and paid for. Like I can get on with my life again. And there is a lot to do this weekend. I wasnt able to get everything done at work that I wanted to on Friday, so I need to go into the office for a while. I should clean the house a bit too, there are dirty dishes and dust everywhere. And I need to design the T-shirts for our Relay For Life team. Did I mention you can donate to fight cancer by clicking the link below? I got my car back! Whoooo!
